The term No Win No Fee is overused and abused and often inaccurate.
Some companies advertise No Win No Fee but fail to tell you that a
fee may be payable if you actually win the case.
At Honest Claims, we are clear about our No Win No Fee policy.
There are only a few instances where you may have to pay a fee and these are as follows:
- Where you have knowingly pursued a fraudulent case or have been dishonest in your instructions.
- Where you fail to co-operate with the appointed solicitor.
- Where you fail to give the appointed solicitor instructions.
- Where you wish to go against the legal advice you receive (in this case the appointed solicitor would outline the risks to you and your potential liability for costs presenting you with your options)
We ensure that you do not end up paying any legal costs by:
- Not charging a fee if you lose
- Not charging a fee if you win
- Having the ability to write-off solicitors charges via our agreements with them
- By taking out an insurance policy which covers you for the losing parties costs and your disbursements*
*Disbursements is a term used to describe fees paid in connection with your case such as the cost of a medical report, engineers report or a court issue fee.
